Hi,

My name is Carol Grainier and this is my personal blog.

I live in Riverside, California and I am former professional athlete (gymnast) , who’s career has been cut short by the an injury (shoulder dislocation) back in 2002. It’s not a big deal since I wasn’t that good anyway, I was close to making the Olympic quota a few times but nothing more than that.

When the injury came, luckily, so did love. I met my husband Tim and I live a nice satisfying life. In 2009 we got our sweetheart, Julia and our lives were turned upside won. But not in a bad way…

We started this blog that same year with the initial idea of it being a memory book of sorts for Julia but it turned out to be more than that. Today, this is where we share our thoughts and advice on how to live a simple but full life.

Both Tim and I are outdoorsy so you might see some reports about what we do or plan to do in that arena. It might seem odd, with the sports and everything, but I am also somewhat of a fashion freak so you’ll probably see me talking about that a lot.

We are open-minded people and always like to connect with people of similar interests, so if you see something you like and want to comment on just shoot us an email. That especially goes if you live in Cali, because we are all over this place on hiking trails and camping sites pretty much every weekend.
